The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) thrilled to publicly disseminate the announcement of her 2025 Green Journalism Award launch in which is annual media and journalists honor by means of the nation’s quality journalism maintenance.
This year of 2025 is sets to give Ayaanle Hussein Abdi who was BBC and HornAfrik radio correspondent in central Somalia regions for many years before his exile as he is now one of the best Somali diaspora professionals live in UK. He was honored it due to his courageous and dynamic achievement in across Somaliland territorial zone for the social science issues reporting in particularly the social science works coverage he did.
Since its inception in 2015, the Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) Green Journalism Awards have honored several professional journalists for their distinguished reporting on science topics and civic issues.
Somalian media professionals and journalists as well as media outlets can already apply for the 2027 award.
