The United Relief Initiatives of Somalia (URIS) excited to Join UNHCR which is a UN partner agency on 20 June for World Refugee Day, the international day to honour people who have been forced to flee. As result of that, URIS shared it about the current Somalia’ IDP’s conditions letter!
The World Refugee Day is an international day organised every year on 20 June by the United Nations. It is designed to celebrate and honour refugees from around the world. The day was first established on 20 June 2001, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees.
Obviously in Somalia alone, Jan 22, 2025 — 5.98 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance in 2025. The 13 per cent decrease in Pin, compared to 6.9 million in 2024.
